Cordova Street: Cordova Street will be converted to a 2-way street for the 2025 summer Water Street Pedestrian Pilot. Modifications will be carried out on Cordova including traffic signal installations, minor civil works, paint line eradication, surveying, line painting, concrete barrier and sign installations. Starting May 12, two northern lanes of Cordova Street will be closed to traffic as the reconfiguration of the street is finalized. Eastbound vehicle travel will be retained during this work. Once construction is completed in late May, Cordova Street will re-open as a two-way street for the summer. During this time, the City will be monitoring the performance of the street. Water Street: There will be intermittent impacts to Water Street in late May and early June 2025 for the installation of the 2025 Water Street Pedestrian Pilot. The work will include the installation of concrete barriers, line painting, planters, furniture installation and removing bollards. Water Street works will be removed in September 2025.
